Multiplayer progression not possible.
I bought this game with a friend as we had planned to play the game completely on co-op as we were more than pleased that this amazing new game gave us the option. He hosts the game, and I join and I figure it's going to be all good.
I eventually realize that the second player in the game has so many disadvantages that it starts taking the fun experience out of the whole game, and here is why;

1. Altar cannot be upgraded by the second player, which means that throughout the entire game your skills from the talent tree will always stay at level one no matter how many times player one upgrades the alter, the second player will not be able to progress as player one does. Upgrade button at the altar should be open to second player, whether the benefits be shared or not, it is simply unacceptable that the second player cannot evolve like player one does with his skills and is required to stay with level one skills.
2. NPC's such as blacksmiths and the armorer again are not possible to be upgraded by the second player, as all resources have to be spent by player one to be enjoyed. Unlike the altar, we've realized that I can enjoy the benefits from him upgrading the NPC's as new equipment can be found, but in a way it seems unfair since we've both gone through the same adventures it's only fair we be able to share our blood and coin as we have fought as two chieftains side by side. The way it's currently at, one person has to spend all of their money while the other player just sits around and clings onto their coat tail.
3. Should you happen to disconnect from the host game, and play on your own. No matter how far you've progressed in the main story line, you will be thrown back all the way to the beginning as the game only saves the character and not the story. This ruins the fun as I had no real intentions to re-run the whole story line since we've put so much effort to find skulls and resources through quests, only for me to find out that it's gone to waste and my village will remain a complete dump. I then have no desire to rerun and find all of the iron skulls and resource quests as again it has taken so much time to find it once, that finding it a second time on the same difficulty provides absolutely no real benefit. The fun is also ruined due to the fact that coming back to my own village, I'm overpowered since we ran through the story line before I'm stuck at a high level completing trivial quests that were created for low level characters.

Please fix as soon as possible, as on a scale of 1 to 3 of playablity, this amounts to a number 2.

It's so disappointing !

Only hosting player can upgrade Altar, the secon player will enjoy benefits of upgrades with blacksmiths for exemple but only player one ressources are used!
Furthermore, trading between players don't exist...

So it's not completly a co-op experience...

Devs, any update about it?

I read another post where they say that this is intentional but i think they have to fix this.
The best would be to give the player the choice. "progress together" or "just play along".
"progress together" would save all progress for both players and "just play along" would save only charchter progression and loot. like it is today

But i think most players want to start a fresh game with one of their buddys and fight the evil together. and not do everything twice so that both players have the same progression. That is stupid. although i understand that some people like the current setup cause they just wanna hop in a game get some loot help a friend and still progress on their own. i think there must be a way for true coop too

The second player can still benefit from altar lvl 2, but the host has to do all the upgrades which means the second player has a ♥♥♥♥ load of materials compared to the host. Valhalla mode is ♥♥♥♥ as well in co-op, if you die (atleast as the second player) the host can ress you, and in trials both just get ported out and can continue playing... feels like I'm playing an early beta

Yeah, the devs should fix that problems...

### The multiplayer game will not save progress of the second player!!!
Played with a second player in multiplayer, I passed 6 levels-bosses and the first player has finished playing. Decided to continue solo, but my progress remained at the first level-boss! I have that to pass it all again, but now have one!?
Plz fix this so that the progress of the multiplayer applies to the second player too!

Its just a Ps4-Singleplayer game for casuals...
The Coop and PC-Version are just attachments.

its an unfinished game in my opinion

No news about this ? :(

They haven't addressed any of these problems.
They've had a few updates but I bet they were bug fixes.
Seems like they took our money, and are feeding us the cheapest ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
