HOW TO SOCKET RUNES????
Am I doing something wrong? How do I socket runes into weapons/armor?

You need the dude next to Helga at the very top of the town (I think he's called Frikka or something like that). You get him via the main story, so just keep going until he pops up :)

Open his 'shop' - drag the rune from the left side (the ones you actually have some of - they are 'marked' with amount at the bottom), into the piece of gear (on the right side) you want it socketed into.

That's it.

the confusing part is you cannot socket them yourself as with most other ARPG's. the game doesn't do a good job of indicating that a runesmith is needed to do this.

also, don't post topics all caps please.

Hi everybody.
Additionally be aware that you cannot use the same type of rune multiple times on a single item.

the drag doesn't work... why?

When playin in coop with my friend, i often see monsters and NPC he can't see yet, like the guy next to Helga with runes right after the 1st training mission, some Jukul mosters with 110k HP, sometimes i cant target monsters but they can target me (2nd mission final boss fight).

You need to have done the 3 story quest to save the rune master before you can use them.

You have to unlock them. Once in inventory, you can then drag them from shop to socketable item.

Thanks for providing actual direction. Kept reading "just drag it over the item!", so that's what I did from my inventory. Nope!

This is horribly unintuitive, much like the rest of inventory management in this game.
