Joining multiplayer

Game just says joining multiplayer forever, i get into the game and can see the start area but just stay with the text joining

We got exactly the same problem after figuring out our firewall problems (I can definetly host other games via Steam).

Cannot exit out either...they need to implement an exit button or something.

Hi everybody.
Please check following first:
Please check your firewall. Is Vikings: Wolves of Midgard blocked?
Please also check Zonealarm, Antivir and programs like that if you´re running them.
Check your Router settings, maybe you have to open the Port 7777
Please try the following steps:
1. Start the game (your friend, too)
2. Click on Multiplayer and enter the multiplayer menu (your firend, too)
3. Start a private online game (your friend is still waiting in the Multiplayer menu)
4. Invite your friend
is it working? if not, are there any error messages ?

Cant start coop - nothing happens while pressing the multiplayer button.
Cant join invitations too.
Win7 - Bitdefender disabled - Cable internet - Game reinstalled twice

Same for me and my friend as well. Ports opened and no firewall/anti-virus blocking the program.
