Watching the white knights scramble to defend 14 years of delays, broken promises and ludicrously expensive virtual ships - and paint - is absolutely priceless.

Every failure gets an excuse. Every broken promise gets rewritten. Every criticism gets met with desperate goalpost-shifting.

Now they're even trying to sell the idea that a 'game' that's close to 100% cinematic is some sort of technical triumph!

At this point, they're not defending a game. They're defending their own refusal to admit they've been taken for a ride.

Well i guess most people are easily no white Knights and honestly believe ya don't have any clue what you are talking about yourself.

Not anyone defending anything must "love" the stuff presented to them and not everyone who dislikes something is a "hater"..

Ya make it easy for you just "establishing" 2 categories of yourself and put people into it, while you wouldn't be able to define those two yourself probably.

Because then you would need to admit that your "categories" have nothing to do with reality. My bet is, that you wanted the game(s) at one point and were so upset, that they didnt come out that you need to hate against it now..

Just like defending it for no reason, there are haters for no real reason.

So ya act absolutely the same as the people you are describing to be "white Knights" (and i'm even sure, most people surely critisize CIG communication regarding releases over the years - and not love everything)

The refunders are so desperate that they have to use bored gamers comments as thier gotcha when reviewers that dont shill for cig flat out said sq42 not only exists but it has minimal bugs. Minimal bugs like missing that space platforming sequence, if you jump into the void you are softlocked, some enemy ships you need to destroy (scripted) don't spawn so softlock and I think I've heard some of the NPCs you need to talk to also have issues and therefore another softlock. I don't call that "minor" bugs, unless you were refering to something else entirely with the word minor. And that's the stuff about the gameplay trailer they showed a while ago more or less, not even further into the game which is allegedly complete since 2015. That's pretty concerning. 11 years later and they still didn't iron out obvious game breaking bugs in the solo game. I hope purchasing SQ42 comes with a personal CIG dev doing house calls to debug the game for you.

the game is pushing technology on soo many fronts i rather wait 20 years than have another boaring triple A slob for the casuals! THis is gonna be absolutely mesmerizing fun to play! the thing they want (death of squadron and SC) doesn't happen and instead goes the complete opposite direction, and the momentum keeps increasing: positive impressions from SQ42 playtest, being available on Steam, and the game actually launching

similar psychology with refunds sub and griefernet, they want it to crash and burn, but it just keeps chugging along, and they have zero leverage over anything. So you get weird posts like the OP: "I'm above all of you and I'm the smartest and I win"

The Squadron 42 playtest being resoundingly positive and the release of the trailer, is quite literally, these weirdo's 9/11.

They can sense they are about to lose control of the narrative and they are not dealing with it well.
