Marauder and subvariants question
1. Are there regional marauder ships? Or do the job board bounty quest spawn every single type of marauder regardless of location? I'm talking specifically about the Marauder prefix ships, so not the stuff you can buy but only the capture only ones.

2. How do you choose a farming location? Another quest brought me to some sector in northern Syndicate space and it turned out good because I can pickup one jump range marauder bounties, but are there any other considerations so I can identify them? Like they need to be near pirate/uninhabited space or something? Also are there locations with free marauder spawns too so I can occasionally have the chance of a freebie or something?

3. Some ships have subvariants, like how the marauder ones have weapons/shields/standard or how the navy auxiliary has 3 of them. Some like the latter are easily identifiable from looking at the sprite, but are there any textual way to identify them? Like ship class names or something or is it basically looking at sprites and their stats? Like I'm hunting for weapon marauder Splinters, are they all called Marauder Splinters and I need to look deeper to see if they have the 2 extra gun ports?

1. I don't think so, but I could be wrong.

2. Well, once you get a combat score high enough, randoms fleets of Marauders(the Bounty Hunter faction) will start coming after you.

If you're running solo in a heavy warship, then it'll be only ~three ships, but if you have a huge trade and warship fleet, it'll be a Large Marauder bounty mission chasing you(and possibly even multiples; I'm not sure if they actually launch multiple Bounty Hunter 'missions' at once, or if it's just that I usually build my fleet to be very mobile, and they just have difficulty catching up to me, and start 'accumulating').

3. As far as in-game, it's just sprites, and unfortunately, it seems like the 'standard' Marauder variant is the most common by far these days. If you want to sort-of-cheat, you can try peeking at your save file before you accept, to see if the Marauder mission has ships you want in them(and it also tells you what system you'll find them in, under the individual ship entries).

I'd say Engine variants are probably the most visually obvious(larger engine area of the ship, sometimes a third or even fourth visible thruster is added), and they're usually faster, though some merely spend the extra engine space on oversized steering thrusters(Marauder Splinter and the current Marauder Leviathan Engine variants come to mind).

Each variant does have consistent armaments, however, so if you're familiar with them, you can identify them by what they seem to be shooting at you.
