How do I get to the systems east of The Core and Paridice Planets?

The only story in the game, Free Worlds. Just go down to the Southern Rim planets and check spaceports at the systems in that area. Each spaceport has a 30% chance to start the story, in which a woman will place a gun to your head.

Either you could play around with your save files, or you can just restart the game, whichever is easier for you.
