Pirate Hunting, share your favorite spot.
So I'm still in early game with this captain, as my trader captain got a little stale. I've been hitting Turais for awhile because it had a good amount of easy-ish pirates coming in and very little "allies" to blow up my scores (but still a few if things got hairy). However a year is passed and I'm just shy of a whole fleet upgrade, but now there's "allies" all over the place with upgraded ships/weapons and I cant board a ship fast enough. Dunno if it's my networth or not since I haven't upgraded the fleet yet, just holding the cash. So I'd like to hear your favorite systems to raid so I can grab an easy score and get a shiny new fleet to stick it to the dirty pirate scum.

Far North from Beetlejuice, there's a system with no habited planet and surround by 3 pirate-controled systems. Easy to have a few escorts holding position there and lure pirates from the systems with your main ship.

Great tip on the system, even better tip on setting an ambush! Had not even considered being sneaky about it. Thanks for sharing!

The safest place for someone who isn't out to hunt pirates, but rather scavenge their wreckage is on Aldhibain. This star is like a crossroads for merchants, the Republic, the Free Worlds group, and pirates alike. There'll always be enemies, and there'll always be more allies. Generally, the pirates will swarm in at times in weaker ships, making it so not all of them get destroyed.

Thanks guys. I did try Aldhibain early on and just had terrible luck with them getting blown up before I could get to them. I've got no problem taking them out myself, guess I'm just bad at scavenging. While exploring the far north I've been having good luck in Moktar, though the three Mantas I bought and hooked up with atomic thrusters/streering can't seem to even look at the little ships without blowing them up. But some of the light warships get spared, so I'm well on my way to a Bactrian flagship instead of this customized Behemoth.

I had the most success capping ships in beta lupi. at the very bottom of the free worlds section of the map. right next to the pirate world men. I used a single bactrian armed with heavy lasers, a couple green hai shields and nerve gas is best but expensive to maintian so grenades or laser rifles work as well. just load your ship up with it's maximum crew capacity and camp there disabeling and capturing ships until your crew seems to be running low on a good run I would come back with around 40 ships a trip. it also doesn't hurt to bring a couple backup ships armed with only lasers just in case you get in a tight spot.

Forget pirates. Complete the quest, get a jump drive and raid the korath. You will have to grind the trade routes a bit, but raiding the Korath yields a lot more credits.

The freeworlds quest seems to have stalled for me, after a couple freighter escorts, it just vanished. Where can I pick it up again? Sorry about off-topic
