Lost my Cloaking Device.
I recently took my Bactrian into Korath space and got myself a Raider. Now that's all fone and dandy right? Here's the problem. I sold off my Bactrian with the cloaking device still on board. This creates an issue for me, as the cloaking device is one of a kind. If someone can tell me how to edit it back in, that would be much appreciated.

not very hard to edit it back via save file. Open your save file with a text editor (or notepad++, whatever program your want to edit a text file with, and find the ship(s) you want to add it to and under their outfits section add ( "Cloaking Device" ), without the ( ) of course. Pending how much outfitting space is left, you might be in the negative after adding it, but you should be fine, you'll just have to work it out if you want to change up the outfitting on the ship(s).

Example (note: cloaking device is added in for the example, I'm not actually sporting it, I would be over outfitted atm if I did with this config):

I'll try that once I get my desired fleet, and check it out. I'm going for a Bactrian and Shield Beetle, led by a Raider.

It does, post your ship config with it from your save file. Again the only thing you should of added was "Cloaking Device" (WITH the quotes, all item names with one or more spaces need to be in quotes otherwise game doesn't read it right)

It didn't work because you didn't add it right, they can't be on the same line. You have Liquid Helium Cooling, Cloaking Device, and Resupply Pods all on the same line. They have to be on their own lines otherwise the game doesn't know what to do with it. Also post code between the code tags [ code ] [ /code ] (remove the spaces between the brackets and letters)

A. The game isn't running when your doing this is it?
B. Did you remember to backup the save before editing?
C. You can always just set it back to it was before and just add it to cargo.

You add this section after your last ship and NOT to a ship itself.

I've decided not to bother with the cloaking device and just grind my way back up to the Bactrian with two extra jump drives for it and a Shield Beetle. I've decided it's just not worth the headache. Gonna go play some Sm4sh and vent my frustration on my amiibo. And come back tomorrow. Still got my Raider, and that's a prize all on it's own.

Yea I ditched it after quest anyway myself. Doesn't hide you from the enemy anyway. Just trash. When you did the mistake version with those 3 on one line, you didn't take off from the planet and LAND again did you? (resulting in it saving)

I mean I have yet to have any trouble adding stuff the previous way.

I'm pretty sure I did, and even if I didn't it's too late. The F.S. New Beginning itself is gone without a trace jump drive included... Wow... that sounds like a Star Trek plot...
