Game crashes on startup

Hi, I'm getting an error "Unable to create window" when trying to start the game and the game doesn't start. I hadn't played in some time, it updated itself a couple of days ago. I'm on Steam on Linux. Already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, a line in the startup config, but no success. Help please!

Well, you could try removing the preferences.txt from the endless-sky folder. I don't think that folder would be changed by reinstallation.

That seems to be the file that holds the window size options.

You'll need to change your preferences back to how you want them when you get in if it works. Your keybinds will be safe in a different file, though, if it works like my Mac version.

In my Mac version the endless-sky folder is in Application Support; I'm not sure where it would be in Linux. But if you know where your pilots are saved, it should be one level up from that.
