Need tips on
thieving me a world ship?
:)

I want me a world ship without editing my save file or attacking friendly korath.
When I say world ship I mean huge ships like Ra'at Ik 618, 621, etc

I have a Rano'erek with a crew of 609 armed with nerve gas (attack rating of 2314.2). I've been going in and out of Kor Ak'Mari, the system partitioning the exiles in half, because only ships with jump drives go there but I'm still unable to find exiled korath world ships that are capturable with my current boarding crew since their defenses are usually 1000+ above my attack.

I would like to know of any tips or holes in my plan. It could be impossible but that would suck.

577 and 582 have a very low chance to have a jump drive, so you should wait for this. I have captured a 577 by a specially modified korath dredger, but it wasn't an easy task either and you should reload over and over again. Sometimes even if you did you are not able to land a planet due to weird movement for lacking proper crews you left.

Go for a Kor Efreti Echo-Galleon, which is more useful for capturing other ships than any of the other Korath world-ships anyway because it has one of the higher maximum crew sizes and one of the lowest minimum crew requirements. (And you can then use it to capture other world-ships for completion.) You can start reputation-farming as soon as you have a cloakable ship and a jump drive. Use the Dokdobaru system as a home base, follow any Kor Efreti ships that jump northeast and keep following them until they enter Kor Mereti territory, then repair them. Repeat until you have enough reputation to capture an Echo-Galleon without making the Kor Efreti hostile.

Order of captures: Rano->577->582->590->618/621.
Swap ship after each capture.

This. I did followed the very same course as well.

Drawback: the jump drive equiped 590 is civilian korath only, so the friendly korath.

I managed to get a 577 that had a jump drive using a Rano (though it took FOREVER due to its incredible rarity and other rng factors) and I had to look at the game files to figure out which fleet it spawns in and where. But for the 582, I can see the jump drive variant exists in the files but I couldn't find a fleet that it spawns with, and I have not managed to stumble across one during gameplay. Any hints?

Ember Wastes. I'm not entirely sure if it's remnant mission only (in which case you'll have to advance remnant storylines quite a bit first, to after opening up Ssil Vida), but after you destroy or capture a mission 582 they'll stop offering those missions.

Sidenote: capturing world ships is a bit on the evil side of things, but going to the 590 is even worse, because jump drive equiped 590s only exist in the civilian fleets of the Kor Efreti. However it's a necessary step unless you edit files(like changing your flagships bunks number in your save file).

I haven't had any more Remnant missions except for some lore-based ones since Ssil Vida. Is it a job board mission or a questline-proper mission? I've only come across Palavret, Tubfalet, Rano'erek, and Rano'erek Ground Assault for Remnant missions. I'm avoiding friendly casualties where possible for factions that do not have a decent means to regain reputation.

You'll get one questline-proper mission for it, then after completing that it enters the job pool as a repeatable.

Doesn't work. The relevant Remnant mission spawns ships with the "stranded" variant. Means they got no drives, scrams or jumps. You can't use them once capped. They don't appear to spawn in the system with a planet either.

Also for anyone curious: no, any given Kas'lor IS NOT randomly going to have a jump drive. Only ones who spawn with one particular variant of the "Korath Ember Waste Large Raid" fleet... which only happens 3.47% of the time and only in two systems: Nor'peli and Kor Tar'bei (the latter has 50% more chance of it spawning).

This method worked flawlessly! Although have to be too patient.Capture an Echo Galleon (install a jump drive, since Kor Efret are still friendly) and after that, capturing world ships is much more easier. Head to Kor Ak'Mari system where Korath ships (hostile) are jumping and there you are. Capture world ships with jumb drives already installed.

Where does one find this information if we're looking around... data files, github, etc? You able to give a dummies guide for what I might search for?
I didn't realize that the Large Ember Waste Raids don't even appear in the Ember Waste -- kinda weird.

But maaaaaybe that explains how I've landed on hundreds of them and never seen that variant, 95% of the time I was in that first place with the lower odds.

Yeah it's all in the game files. I think I had to dig around three or four different files to figure out exactly what I wrote here, though.

One file for ships showing which ones have jump drives... another for squadrons and which ships are in them... another for systems showing which squadrons spawn in them. They're all readily readable in notepad - no modding tools or anything necessary.

There's also a bunch of info on github but I don't really know how to navigate it.

Short story is there are only two Kas'lor types with jump drives: one which spawns rarely in the two systems I mentioned and one which spawns friendlies only for specific missions which are failed if you cap one of them.
