New aliens in latest patch (0.10)
Hey, I saw that there were two new alien races added in the 0.10 update, and I've had small interactions with them. Without giving everything away as to what I need to do, I just want to know if there is a way to get more friendly with them? For the Bunrodea, I've gotten access to four of their planets after speaking to their queen, but nothing else has come up for them , and for the Gegno, I did the thing where I helped one of their warriors fight some alien creature on an uninhabited planet, but I'm not sure what to do next. I'm hoping for a gentle nudge in the right direction, or to be told that there isn't anything more yet and that it's in development or something.

I'm having the same trouble although I can't find how to access the Bunrodea's planets, how did you do that?

The Bunrodea require a jump drive to reach, but otherwise are vaguely in the same direction as the Gegno.

This is it.

I can't find how to access the Bunrodea's planets, how did you do that?

I haven't done this myself, but I've read comments that it involves attacking or destroying a Bunrodea ship then landing on a human planet to trigger a mission.

This comment is awaiting analysis by our automated content check system. It will be temporarily hidden until we verify that it does not contain harmful content (e.g. links to websites that attempt to steal information).

actively attack or destroy is the only condition, then? I have seen my escorts disabled some of them by self defense, destroying some of them during fight against their hostile forces(because their disabled ships blocks the fire line) and I did steal some outfits from their disabled ships but I didn't actively attack or kill them and I don't have any missions after return to the human space. Must I attack by my own flagship?

And after check the data file then I found that it wasn't the problem. The chance to trigger it or the other condition was the real problem, then.

That's disappointing, it almost makes the added races a teaser for future content rather than actual new content. Not trying to be salty, I know how hard the devs are working on this game and I look forward to future updates with baited breath!

The creation of entirely new alien factions in the game is a massive undertaking. There's a lot of design work that goes on that by its very nature somewhat unfortunately gets hidden in the background whenever a new faction appears (e.g. historical records of an alien faction that aren't visible in the game right off the bat but which will become visible as the faction's story progresses). So while gameplay wise there might only be an hour of new story content tops with any new factions we add, know that a lot of groundwork has already been placed in the background, and we generally know what direction we want to take with each new faction so that future updates can more smoothly add story content to new factions.

I didn't do almost anything for the younger one, but for the other race that only have one mission for them seems quite reasonable even consider it's the only quest. The ruler says she tolerates us, but we are not welcomed at all so there are enough reason to not having a follow up quest right now. Perhaps there would be a chance to work with them, but not right now. At least, for now I greet that there would be a whole new race to meet. It would be just a start and that's about it. It's still better than nothing.

Besides, once were I suspect that the Quarg could have the collective mind among their whole race for someone with responsibility for deal with us(or human) was so easy to find, but the new mini missions directly against this for the Quarg on Gegno area cannot recognize human well initially.

I have destroyed one of their ship, what should I do after that to start their quest?

Still it doesn't have much difference. Return to the human space, and roaming the outskirts planets and there would be some chance to encounter the mission. Note that the chance is not 100% and it does not triggers at all on 'specific types' of planets.

I suggest that be honest, for I did so and nothing bad things happened. But... did you intentionally attack and destroy the civilian ships(the one without hostile by default) or only attack the 'elite guards'(who are hostile by default)? I am only did against latter, but only because they are attacked first and my escorts are responds. I did tried to not sink their ship, but after complete the mission and check the script, it doesn't matter much whatever I sunk their ships or not. But I didn't see the detailed text when I attack the civilian intentionally so I can't sure. But be honest, again.

At least you need to disable at least one ship in order to trigger the mission. The mission only checks if the reputation is dropped, and it seems that the game cannot check the numbers of ships we destroys. So only disable a single ship is actually enough, but at least that is required.

To summarize: The Gegno, the bug people, the Builders - all coming attractions, yes? I mean we can have minimal interactions (teasers?) but at this point, that is all. If so, I am definitely intrigued!
