EDIT: I think it's past time the Kor Efreti actually give something useful to the player. They don't sell anything but ammo extensions and that command center. Selling a WS after the Wanderer campaign is complete would be nice. Those engines too, although I have better stuff available to me in that department now. I would understand the Efreti not selling weapons, but the essentials I think they should.
IMO selling worldships would be kinda OP in the ship capping field. Also, why would the lizards sell what they literally live on.
I tried the WS in save editing. Honestly, I don't capture ships all that much unless I need cash in the midgame, but my impressions from it were really underwhelming. It serves literally no other purpose. The turret hardpoints are so far apart the range from some weapons sometimes can hardly go past the length of the ship, the engine capacity is abysmal for a ship that size, and so on... it BETTER be good at capturing, because it can't do the rest properly. Maybe it can become an option once T3 is available to the player, then it will hardly be overpowered compared to the options. Right now if you go for Tier 3 ships you don't really have an enemy to fight against, at least not from a lore perspective, get Quarg ships to attack... the Quarg? Archons are already susceptible to dying to weaker ships, so I feel like the Quarg are a bit redundant.
I've got a snapshot with the Remnant WS disabled and ready to board so I'm safe
Without plugins there are no stronger h2h weapon than gas.

Legitimately, perhaps. You could check if the heliarch rifles change that, by editting them in. They have both higher attack and defense in relation to gas. Also, I recommend changing the engines, there are smaller ones out there, like the small modules for the Coalition, they are actually better than the ones you're using, as well as the solar panels, I think the Coalition is the outfitter to go to when taking on the WorldShip.
EDIT: Just checked in-game. They actually use less energy than the engines you're using, but the heat produced is much higher so extra care is recommended. Also, the solar collector you're using really is the smallest so... yeah, keep it.
EDIT2: With my config you can fit 2 more crew and upsize power.
EDIT3: You can also add a Void Rifle to the mix, get some extra 15+ attack out of one crew member.
Do you only get one of those void rifles from that mission?
I've only played through the Human (free world/Pug) stuff so far so haven't encountered the confrontation gear.
Also i randomly got their crew down to 87 one time trying, luck of the RNG i guess but will be endless sky-imes before i would be lucky enough to get the bloody ship
