Why are all the licenses named "Malcolm M. Reynolds?"

The City-Ship license, the militia license, and the pilots license all have the name "Malcolm M. Reynolds." Is there a reason behind this, or is it just for no reason?

hmm, i havent really seen anything to indicate why thats there, i have about 3 theories though, 1: could just be a random person who helped with the game, 2: its an easter egg from the game that endless sky is based off of (escape velocity), 3: i think in the game there is a character named malcom,
