How many Author ships are there?

I have encountered the Vanguard one and the Kesteral one. I though I saw a third but it was probloby just me being stupid

There are 3 "Author" ships in v0.9.8. MZ's Kestrel, Pointed's "Captain Nate" Vanguard, and Wrzl's "Marauding Max K" Marauder Fury. Do note that author ships are part of a group called person ships, but right now the only non-author person ship is Cap'n Pester's Wardragon.

In v0.9.9, there will be at least two more person ships. One a new author ship, being Tehhowch's "Power of the People" Modified Osprey, and the other a Merchant person ship that is a reference to Firefly, a Lampyrid-Class Transport named the "Tranquility".

Ok, I did run into the fury in the middle of Korath space and it warped away before I could select it, thanks

Is there any way to beat the author osprey? I ran into one and it was so annoying couldn't get close enough with my hurricane

You can beat them but can't capture them

Most of the author ships are rather more powerful than the regular ships, so bring lots of firepower.
