Only way to "easily" get them friendly again is to have a reputation reset, like at the end of a certain campaign... Or start the grind to make people happy.
I have in a test run dominated over half the FWs, then sat on a couple of pirate planets killing pirate ships for 45 minutes. My rep with them has gone from -10000 to -4000 approx --- if I keep going for another hour or so (!!!) won't it get to 0 then + territory eventually?
If you already have 2.5B banked there really isn't a reason to do this. Buy a fleet of cargo ships and you can easily dwarf the measly ~170 thousand credit tribute all of space would pay you by running heavy metals, luxury goods, and food between certain worlds. 2.5B is easily enough to build a large enough fleet to make tens if not hundreds of millions of credits every couple days.
