Scanning missions

Hi all,

If you don't scan the ship you're supposed to scan when you depart the planet after picking up the scan mission - either because you miss it completely or because you don't get close enough for long enough to scan it - can you ever find it again? Or do you just have to abort the mission?

You can follow it if you start jumping after it quickly enough but it disapears quickly if you fall behind.

Sorry, another stupid question - I have both cargo scanners and outfit scanners installed, but I seem to scan only outfits. Is this supposed to happen or am I doing something wrong? I have an espionage mission to scan cargo, and don't want to remove my outfit scanners!

If you have both scanners you must press the scan button for more time to get the results, also the cargo scanner has a shorter range than the outfit one, so you have to be close for it to work.

Hold the scan key to scan something.

The scans take different amounts of time, the outfit scan is faster.
