I don't think you needed to make a thread for this, you also might as well add a spoiler tag to the title since it is in reference to the Pugs Gridfire turret.

You really need to add a spoiler title. asap

While that is cool and all, I feel like you missed that the "gridfire" turret is possibly a tachyon lance...

Gridfire is a stupid name and has nothing to do with what the turret does, so I fixed it by changing what the turret does.

that's cool and all but add a spoiler tag to the title

Gridfire is a refrence to the Culture weapon from the books by Ian M Banks.
In those books the weapon works by warping the energy grid that seperates universes to such an extent that it comes into our layer of 4D space causing imence destruction where it appears, thus Gridfire is an appropreate name for it. In our case we don't know if the turret works like that but it is a good refrence anyway.

That I did not know.

I love how anything you don't understand or can't accomplish gets labelled as stupid or broken.

I also did not know this, fascinating, and thank you jafdy.

Also, seriously, add a dammned spoiler tag to the title dude. You gotta follow the basics if you want to make content.

Also, yeah. Just because with limitted parts of the whole picture, it doesn't make sense, doesn't mean it's broken. You can always ask us why things are before going through effort of making a fix :)

That's why outfits really need descriptions, even if the game is balanced such only 0.1% of players will ever manage to plunder those outfits.
Someone might have a good idea for what an outfit should be, but without a description it will be lost in development.

ADD SPOILER TAG

Maybe all caps WI get your attention to do it
recneps Jan 18, 2018 @ 2:36pm
The only spoiler is in the title(and then in everyone else's comments).. Meaning a spoiler tag would be worthless. And this actually looks interesting.
Startome Jan 18, 2018 @ 6:10pm
For posts like this, where the question prompts spoilers, the tag is required. Add it.
Besides, the photo itself has direct, original post, spoilers. With no warning.

Seriously, stop being stubborn for the sake of being stubborn and fix it.

Oh no I named a weapon in a space combat game
Players who haven't played the whole game would have never guessed that the parts they hadn't played had more weapons

that's not the point, it basically refers to something in the base game that IS a spoiler, and we want to make sure that players don't see any of them if they don't want to
and why even argue with everyone about this? you gain nothing from it, the only thing it does is making you unpopular to others, and NOBODY benefits from that

so can you add a spoiler tag to your title, please? just to make sure new people don't accidently see any spoilers

Exactly. They expect it. And they have a right to know when someone is starting a discussion that over the course of said discussion will reveal details about those weapons they haven't yet seen. This is how our forums operate, and it's not difficult. You seem to have a lot of ideas which is great. But ignoring the way we do things isn't going to make anyone take them seriously.
