Kornephoros is also a good system if the asteroids don't aggrevate you...
Blasters (even turrets) seem plain useless against Drones.
Surveillance drones are only ever found in "Navy Surveillance" fleets, which I assume from reading the code have a 50% chance of either spawning two stock Gunboats, or a single Cruiser and four Surveillance Drones.
In the latter case, as soon as the cruiser enters the system, it launches its drones, and leaves shortly after (but not before destroying the first hostile ship it sees, if any).
TRIGGER
DISCIPLINE
I, personally, never destroy ships i intend to disable and i almost always use projectiles.
Less than 20 ships at any given time, 20 is my maximum.
Generally speaking I run solo.
Fighting and capping kor automa or stealing skylances with t1 ships, ~10-15.
Trigger control is easy for the player ya, but with no hold-fire toggle your fleet is very trigger happy until they 100% know the enemy is disabled.
As long as im not using pug seekers or ammo based weapons, im golden.
Keep hitting R to find the next nearest enemy ship, 2 to get them to fire on that enemy - whomever it may be, space to control your own fire rate.
Unless its literally a 1 on 1 fight, which almost never happens. if it does, i make my fleet hold position.
