Marauder ships have self-destruction rates, which are applied both to boarding and to capturing.
That is, a self-destruction rate of, for example, 80% means a 20% chance of a successful boarding attempt and a 4% chance of a successful capture attempt. (In the latter case, I'm not sure if it's only applied to the first attempt, or to all of them.)
To note, that design doesn't have a Hai regenerator. It's only a human S-270. The Hai did have them in older versions, but they have their own unique regenerators now.
- Arrow
- Bounder
- Fury
- Quicksilver
- Raven
- Firebird
- Manta
- Splinter
- Falcon
- Leviathan
The Fury is unique, being an Author ship, and it only has the one variant. The Argosy technically has a modified variant, but it's not actually classed as a marauder ship.
Capture chances differ between ships.
Still have no clue why the shields variant is strictly inferior to the other two.
