Capturing a Pirate ship early on
I love this game. I really love it. But it really makes me ♥♥♥♥ing furious that whenever I capture a little ♥♥♥♥ing Sparrow, Fury or Hawk early on, after waiting for like 5 hours for one to appear and for the Navy not to crush it within .2 seconds, ALL OF A SUDDEN there are 2 million Pirate ships in literally EVERY system you go to that have number 1 priority to destroy your freshly captured ship.
It's okay they try to do that, it's okay. If some mothertrucker tried to steal one of my homeboys ships, I would do the same. It's alright. But where on Earth (Milky Way, to be more precise) are 10 ♥♥♥♥ing trillion pirates coming from within 2 seconds of me capturing a ship. Balance pls

Edit: On another note, it's said that other befriended ships stop firing on a target once you press B if it is disabled.
Why is it then, that as soon as a ship is disabled, I press B and 99% of the five thousand Navy ships around me stop firing, then some stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ high pilot in a ridiculous Sparrow comes by and crushes a disabled Bastion (or anything else) with its teeny weeny Beam Lasers like half a second before I am in position to board it? Thanks to this feature, I have now about -3265473634 reputation with the Navy, and I didn't even start the campaign yet.

Maybe they just REALLY don't want you to have that ship.

They probably figured out how to build a cloaking device. Or they stole Harry Potters invisibility cloak and sewed a few of them together to fit a starship underneath it.

Exagorating the numbers is not helpful.

While it may be said it may not be true. (And in this case isn't.)

This is not intended behavior and is certanly not a feature, you could try reloading your save or even validating your save file.
I can't be any more help unless you can give reproduction steps.

I've had this on all three of my pilots, and I like exaggerating.
I start a new game and it happens. That's all I do. I honestly believe this is part of the game right now. I just captured a Hawk and suddenly there are about 20 pirates jumping in, half of which go straight for my captured Hawk.

What systems do you normally go to in order to capture pirates? Some areas have a lot more pirates than others.

Are you doing any missions? Escorts, deliveries, etc.

Are you running any mods?

Right now, it happened in the Aldhibain system, although I had it also happen in Seginus and Epsilon Leonis in the last two hours.
I have no active missions and I'm running The Enclave, but I suppose that has no effect on the Milky Way galaxy.

It is not a question of whether or not you like to do something. When it comes to bug reports, you must be precise.

Being lazy is fine, though.

i think it also depends on time. not entirely sure, but it seemed to me that the longer i stay in one system, the more pirates appear. probably because they notice that you are there and for some reason they really hate you in particular. so i guess your best option would be to just keep moving.

go to a system, wait for pirate ships, try to capture one, and if it gets destroyed, don't sit around any longer and move straight to the next system.

also to reduce the danger of pirate ships getting destroyed before you can capture them, i think it is best to go to a system without any settlements. then you have to deal with much fewer defenders and so it is much less likely that they will destroy stuff before you can cap it.

That's just the regular fleet spawn timer...

The over exaggerated pirate focus is this before youve landed and repaired your prize or after. If its before you land its because the ai is built to focus on taking out ships so it going to focus on the almost dead ship not the full health ship. I mostly go prize heavy in my plays. Until you get a big enough fleet to protect my prizes . If you can wait till its calmed down (dont be in Republic lands) and then capture your target/targets or if battles are still going on land or jump out of the system then land. Once your of system your ships wont be damaged any more.

It's really just chance that such a large fleet spawns.. The Governmental ships destroying disabled hostiles is annoying though. Some people have said that the more time in a system the more pirates spawn, except that's not entirely true. More will have spawned, as there has been more time for them to spawn, but the rate doesn't really increase.

Your problem is the system you are farming in.. that's not exactly a high security location, and any Sparrows that are spawning there are likely to be a part of a larger fleet. One suggestion is to lure your prey away from the fracas before you disable it.
