Wolfpack?
I've seen posts referencing it, and I can tell it's related to the FW storyline, but how do you access it?

It's a side story to the FW storyline. You'll be asked to get a new ramscoop design from the Deep, and then later they'll have more missions for you, in the vein of attacking the Navy's supply chains, rather than the navy itself. Of course, you're also attacking the supply of food to civilians by doing this, and that's not going to sit well with some people.

I think there is a specific window of time between some sets of FW story missions when you can randomly meet them in the Space Port.

You'd have to look up the mission triggers to see what the requirements are, and when it is too late to pick it up.

This is one of the things that changes your "karma" variable and directly affects which kind of ending you can get for the campaign.

I don't remember how it works exactly, I think you can still do the Reconcile path with bad karma, you just cant get the best ending?
If you do them, Capt. Danforth won't help you defeat the alphas when they take over poisonwood, which will result in a bad outcome and the planet will remain in republic's side.

This.

It does not affect the final ending in any way.

You do get some extra dialogue option at some point in the story, if you do part of their missions. As long as you stop before you do anything awful.

Look at my guide. I think that bit has been added (FW side missions).

it will be expanded upon in the red and green indie storylines, as well as one of the options for the DSF.

*if* my content gets merged, the wolf pack will actually be a pretty key component to the human story.

It is already key to the Checkmate story path.

I'm looking at the files, and I did the mission that gives "event: catalytic ramscoop available" but I can't seem to trigger the mission, no matter what I do. I haven't reached the mission that disables the Wolfpack content yet. Anyone has an idea what could be the problem? The only thing I mucked with in the files is changing my combat rating because I didn't want to grind to do the Kestrel mission.

some of the %chances don't seem to process properly -- at least anicdotally. The ones that are 40 or less happen for me seemingly less than 10% of the time. One I specifically tested took over 20 landings.

Crank it up to 100% and check the next spaceport. That always works for me.

actually that specific mission triggers automatically when the wolfpack becomes a thing, you are recruited to go into republic space near the deep worlds in order to pick up a catalytic ramscoop, then you bring it back to be reverse engineered.

This only progresses before the poisonwood incident, and becomes an option only shortly before it.

This helped! Thanks!
