Question: Spawn Cave spell

The spell Spawn Cave can only be used by Death heroes, right? Meaning, you basically can't use it unless you start as Death faction (unless you conquer the Death stronghold, but this sounds like it would trigger Death to attack you, which if you win may end the game)?

The artifact (Ashes of Infestation) is only equippable by Death. Only Death can learn the spell. And other factions have difficulty conquering the Death town (to learn Death spells and to hire Death champions) because killing the Death mage will end the game.

I see guides refer to this spell, but it sounds like it's exclusive only to players that start as Death faction...

1. The Spawn Cave spell can be used normally by the Necromancer.

2. If you found a village that is the near Death city, you can build your own Mage tower and build your own Necromancers, of course you need to research the spell.

3. Alternatively, you get lucky with a scroll of Spawn Cave, then any Mage of any faith can equip and cast it.

4. Unfortunately, it works only on the Death Cave. It's a very specific Cave type unfortunately.

5. The Mantera mod expands on the number of dungeon types you can apply it to. Basically, all the common dungeons of each faith, not just Death.
