Where to get these lords of magic updated patches?

I have the original CD version. I did buy the steam version since it wasn’t that much but I mostly use my original CD version that I had gotten all those years ago. When I was kid lol. But what are these patches and where do you get I see people talking about them but I never see links or places to go to get these patches this gs5 or this fan made patch. How would I go about getting it and for the benefits of my CD version?

I believe I had also stumbled on a forum with other styles of patching but not "gs5" years ago when I really had a several weeks craving for this game but I don't remember anything to help me google it up.

it's been a while but the patch merely overwrites an exe file and some utility files in the install folder. So I'd expect it works the same way for install off the cd or install off steam. The install file folder might just be in a different default location.

Since you are taking an exe beware that it could harm your computer if it was malware (I've not had any issues from the mantera link personally but I want to clear any liability on me for sharing the link in the first place).
