Black screen on load up possible fix

In case anyone else is having the flash of black screen on load and then it closing even after following all the other suggested fixes (compatibility, legacy settings, etc), what worked for me was going into my Nvidia graphics settings and manually creating the 800 x 600 screen size since it wasn't there already.
