Game length/replayability
Really like the look of the game, just wondered if anyone can elaborate on game length/replayability, cheers.

Saw a video review that claims it takes 8-9 hours to do everything.

I've played over 5 hours before release and I can safely tell that the game is much larger than that. I've only met 6 of the possible 15 playable characters so far. So take that into account.

10-20 hrs, depending on how you play. But there is no world with boring missions, no filing or stretching content. You can´t make anything wrong for 35€. Also you support the developers that they will make a dwarves 2 with maybe more what the community wishes.

Give it a try :)

Going to be interesting to see who is correct--Cosmicengine (the reviewer) is standing his ground when people suggest there's more than 8-10 max hours of playing time. I'd love to pick up the game if it actually has a decent amount of content.

I own it from Kickstarter but just wanna know; are there different gamemodes/difficulties? Like playing again on hard/brutal/nightmare can still be fun.

Or a score/time attack mode. It would be relatively easy to make something like that, just a lot of time in testing and such.

There are easy, medium/normal and hard. Well... in the end easy is like normal, normal is like hard and hard like very hard. Overall difficulty is higher than the difficulty in most games at this time.

£35 for just a singleplayer game is a lot for 10-20 hours play.
Can you get as much fun replaying a battle as you did the first time is what im looking for.

Your company in every fight are 4 heroes. But you will find on your way more heroes, like the mage andokai with her huge follower djeun. He is like a tower but not OP. You can choose, which 4 chars you want to take in the fights

This game has no MP. The developers like the idea making a MP in a second dwarves game - based on the second book.

But they only can develop a second one, if the first one is successful enough. So i think the 35€ are also good to support that developers.
If a 35€ Singleplayer is too much for you, then wait till the price is getting lower, or wait for an MP in the next game if there will be one.

It isnt the fact that it is too much for me personally. It is in relation to what you get from other games for £30-35 (single player only). A well known IP will warrant.

I am not keen myself for tacked on MP for the sake of it, plenty of great games have only been SP.

Is there any any incentive to replay any of it ?
As the battles seem map skirmish type affairs rather than a story driven SP game.

Also i have never heard of the books, can i just play the game without any background lore knowledge ?
