My complaint is that you can't see the battles the enemies fight against with the horrors you unleashed on them. I really wish you could.
Edit:
Well, I was beaten to it.
You always see the first fight of a horror you unleash if you manage to call them directly on a commanders face where you just previously revealed the map with astrology.
On the other hand, considering how much they sucked in my last High Cultist game, it's probably better that I didn't see them...
Question that arose from me - is there any way to get the really scary Void beings, like Otherness and such? I've seen Void Lord, Starchild, Deep King/Queen... Is there others to be had? Not counting calling wild Horrors.
Description of the Void Lords suggests there are some bigger things to be had.
Is proximity to Void Portal Necessary? Where are those found? I tried a ritual on the edge of the void/sea to no success.
However, don't underestimate astrology+summon spam. I like to position all my star children (maybe just 2-3) well protected in a fortified citadel. I'll spam astrology until I find a citadel, then unleash 3+ horrors on it depending on strength, type of horror summoned, and and if any of them "missed" Early/mid game you use your deep ones to steamroll your closest neighbours. After sitting high on the hog with all your new sacrifice income, you can just sit back and "snipe" enemy citadels as you bombard their lands with roving packs of horrors. I usually win the games without exploring half of an enormous map. The greater and lesser horrors are fairly cheap for their power. A few turns of long-distance horror bombing can sometimes wipe out an AI faction you haven't even bumped into yet. If nothing else, it wrecks their economy and helps you win a war of attrition.
Good to know. Much obliged.
Still want my pet Otherness...
