Lichcraft and temples
Why on earth is lichcraft so damn limited to SPECIFIC temples. Why are TEMPLE pyramids, literally the name is "TEMPLE pyramid", not usable for lichcraft. It even gives a temple resource... but I can't use it for lichcraft?!?!?

This happened last time to me in CoE 3 where the "Temple of El" didn't count as a temple for purposes of lichcraft, and I was particularly annoyed because it was the only temple on the entire map. Then I made a big forum post about it, and I think they updated it to work in 4 because I remember it finally worked.

I would be just as annoyed if Temple Pyramid didn't work. That's bull tbh.

Yeah, it's already hard enough since you have to find and defend a temple (on top of the high price). Having half of the temples not count is ridiculous.

Seriously starting to piss me off. I've now played five damn games trying with necromancer and I can never make a damn lich. Always damn pyramids. I hope they fix this in COE5 because this is ridiculous.

Not sure if they patched it, but when I play necromancer, I always play with priest king for guaranteed temple on the map.
I have use lichcraft on temple city in numerous playthrough.
Maybe it can help with your necromancer playthrough.

Still shouldn't have to roll specific ages or be limited to only 1/3 to 1/2 of the temples when the description says "temple only" but doesn't bother specifying.

you can always mod the terrain to make it a temple.

Making a map to give your early game a boost is a fun way to play, if you're getting frustrated with the vanilla map generation I highly recommend it

I tried to do map creation/modding but the tools seem a bit... rough. I don't really want to spend 20-30 mins learning the system and then another 20-30 mins to make the map. There's a good map someone made to give every player a balanced and whole access to all resources, so I use that when I want to guarantee it.

My point is: it's ridiculous that a spell that only species "temples" doesn't count temple tiles with "pyramid" in the name. There's no logical reason why a lich can't store his phylactery in a pyramid temple either.
Is it possible to mod the spell?

Probably. But Larian's modding stuff seems a bit rough and I don't want to sit through the code myself to fix something like that.
i ran into the same problem in CoE 5. Was hoping it might be an easy solution.
