Lich or Demilich?

I really do not see any benefit to becoming a demilich, seems like being imobile statonary and very low health isnt worth what you gain which is a bit of resistance...And unaging.. The lich gets to wear armor ect he has much more health he can move that a big one lol The demi can move fast across the map but only to corpses and then once he gets there whats he supposed to do lol he cant move maybe summon some dead and hope to summon a captain... idk am I missing something here? What are the other options for necro a lich a vampire is therea greater vampire? then theres the ghosts not sure what a top level ghost would be like but i mad a buynch of lev one ghosts and wights with my twiceborn aprentice rituals. That was cool made a vampire too he was pretty tough. The gear really takes it to another level the deathknight with chest armor can have 6 armor plus the staff of ogre i have is another 25 health thatsa beast.

Personally I find Demi-lich useful for taking over fortresses that my main army can't. Send in an army of coprse-producing units, and just have the demi-lich teleport on top of the place as many times as needed.

You want you main host of undead to be lead by a regular lich while you use demiliches to nuke spots on the map

I never make demi liches. They are expensive and can hardly move anywhere.
I prefer to spare the rescources and make vampires next to my main lich instead because they can fly and are thus are great for capturing locations from roaming armies

I have just had a demilich. coupled with a commander not far away, it was so badass...
the demilich jumped from to places with strong dead presence, raising tens of undead ; and the other commander was following it, haversting every potent undead.

also remember : you don't need to see the tile where you want to go. Thus, it is good at exploration too

I tend to use both. Demi-lich is almost unkillable to many classes so it can literally teleport in. take a citadel raise the defenders and teleport somewhere else quickly demolishing the map. Lich moves over-map and can move armies but takes a bit more damage. On small maps I usually don't get demi-lich. but for enormous maps its very efficient.

Demilich is great. Everywhere your enemy's main force isnt is now completely under your control. Doomstacks can't keep up, and smaller forces can't compete. The thing is all demiliches really do is buy space and you need other commanders to capitalize on the damage they wreak on enemy economies and stacks of troops they plot out everywhere.

Demi-lich needs the good level 3 life draining spells. If my lich does not have those I keep him as a lich to lead armies.

The thing about demilich is that he's so late game that if you happen to have that many hands of glory laying around to turn a lich into a demilich, you could have won the game already just summoning big baddies to roll over the enemy.

Demi-Lich is like an inaccurate nuke. Once he lands on target he'll reliably wipe out whatever is there, but he's not easy to target. His best use is to get him into enemy territory and then he'll quite reliably spawn an army or four to conquer the lands around him, and anything trying to dislodge him is gonna get utterly wrecked
