Anybody else enjoy the easter egg in the suicide minigame?
I'm gonna mark this as a spoiler for the super-picky, but it's just a neat little detail that you might not run into normally.

If you wanna see it yourself, you can do it by: Failing at the suicide minigame when you're out of bullets (and not playing the Warrior.)

If you just want to know what happens then: Your character pulls the trigger, but instead of a gunshot you just hear a click. Your character's head stays intact, and you get dropped back to the menu as though you had succeeded. You can even regain sanity by failing it this way.

I had a good chuckle when I saw it, especially since I was trying to kill myself because it was my first Wizard run and I'd run out of bullets and offensive runes.

It's those kinda details that let you know this game was a labor of love.

Wow, I never noticed. I always assumed the game would conjure up the bullet from somewhere, maybe by having the character keep one in reserve, like they do in the Oops endings. Knowing this would actually help with the Descent as wizard, since the prompts between floors seem to specifically be there to get you killed eventually, as you sprint through the dungeon with zero sanity.

I did an additional quick test. It is not enough to have an ammo type with zero bullets left selected - you have to get rid of all ammo of all types to not die.

Another curious thing I discovered after using the above trick to not die during the Descent:

Once you survive the suicide minigame five or six times, the character will automatically lower their gun, and you can also end the sequence with a single mouse click. This eliminates the risk of suicide during the rest of the game, even when fully loaded with ammo. In the Descent, you could keep doing Save&Exit to go back to the floor entrance screen and farm up some sanity this way, if you really wanted to.

This is probably not applicable to the Warrior, who uses a knife. Let me know if it is.

I personally love the details in the car:
- When you arrive towards a tainted town the fog is getting gradually thicker. Thus you can tell in advance if a town is tainted and it displays on your map too if you stop. Also the fog dissolves as you are leaving tainted towns.
- Nighttime it gets pitch black and the colours change too as it gets late.
- The music changes to a weird variation if your sanity is low.

The driving parts remind me of the intro sequence of Lost Highway (The David Lynch movie, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NI61MEUT_ak )
