Just so you know, arkhane isnt dead, just one of their studios are, the one that made redfall. Arkane lyon made dishonored, they are still here, d3 was rumoured to be in development...... until marvel pitched a blade game with them then they shelved it for blade

No.

The stories of the main characters are completed. There is no need to continue here, and judging by what games are coming out now, it can spoil the impression of the entire series

Were the stories of Corvo and Emily completed after Dishonored 1?

I really can't see that as an argument. Even the death of the Outsider (even though it's up to you whether or not you want to kill him) is a non issue really, considering the relatively simple ritual which created him.

Pandyssia would be a whole new continent which is literally unexplored, especially by the games' stories. A potential Dishonored 3 could play decades after the other games, and have other main characters (or some of the same ones).

All that said, I would rate the possibility of a Dishonored 3 as zero. It's not exactly a big seller, and, Arkane were commissioned other projects, which seemed to be more in a direction where you at least sell a few games.

I practically forgot about Arkane, and rather turned my head towards WolfEye Studions. Much more promising.

I advise you to read the books on this series. They perfectly complement the story and complete it.
Pandyssia is deadly even for people with supernatural powers.

Amen. Nothing makes Arkane Austin Renegades aka WolfEye developers more motivated, than being so P.O.'d at being casually discarded as a cost/benefit line on a budget sheet. I would not put the 2027/2028 GOTY out of their reach, just out of spite and driven to not have to get jobs with someone else where this can happen again, whatever that sci-fi thing turns out to be, because... man, Microsoft*, you cold-blooded. I can't wait so see their first AAA title.

* We don't know who's fault is whose, Microsoft gets the blame for AA gettingcut, but Todd got Amazon Studios to make the Fallout show, while the Zeni board got dissolved during the acquisition with not a single transfer. It sure FEELS like someone made a ruthless power play...

And it will not be D3.

If the game plays decades (or centuries) after Dishonored 1/2, Pandyssia could have been (partly) civilized.

I mentioned it, because I consider it the most interesting (because mysterious and unexplored) part of the Dishonored universe.

There's definitely more people want to know about the world, particularly Pandyssia, but I'm sure that Arkane said DotO would be 'the last game of the kaldwin era' so anything else would likely take place with a completely new set of characters

Fine by me. 🙂

As much as I'd like to see it, Steampunk is a mostly dead genre, and is largely incompatible with modern trends in fiction.

True. That and "immersive sims" in general.

That's why I mentioned that I have much more hope for WolfEye Studios, as they don't have the pressure of big commercial success.

All Titles from the Studio did not sell well but Dishonored was still the most succesful.

And according to the MS Leak,Dishonored 3 will be released 2026.
The Probalility that something will happen is very high.

Go through that list, and you'll see a lot of stuff which DIDN'T happen.

I don't know what kind of leak that was, but, obviously not a very reliable one.

I consider the chances of a Dishonored 3 in general as nearly non-existant, let alone happening in 2026... I guarantee you that that won't happen.
