Yeah, it may not have been the best decision to put so much stock in Blade being successful. It's a very risky project. And that's coming from an old Blade fan.
My best bet is that some former Arcane employees might create something that looks and plays like it but isn't called "Dishonored" ... especially since "Death of the Outsider" pretty much summed up that storyline tbh..
Few years ago they did say in an interview that Emily's and Corvo's storyline is complete and revealed that a new Dishonored project would be a completely new story in the same world. When asked when that would be, the answer was that they were taking a break from the franchise to focus on other projects.
