How different is a no power run ?
How much of a difference does it make running with powers or no powers in terms of story ? I just completed a playthrough for the first time with no powers on low chaos (Felt good to save up all of those kills for the very last part where I could slaughter all of those witches with no consequences), but aside from Delilah's dialogue, the Outsider's mention of Byrn and the dying overseer at the castle I don't really think it made much of a difference at all.

you can not enter some places and it is more tedious to take care of guards; beside that, what do you expect? it has nothing to do with the core story; the idea is that you decide about the fate of the world by choosing between lethal and non-lethal strategy on main targets;

if saved, hypatia will probably take care of the people in the future; jindosh will be an example of going too far, including creating war machines; ashworth will be an example for witches, that are basically women battered by social customs; in the dust district you may choose an ally between paolo and abbey (you can ignore those two and just simply solve the logigram); then, you can save stilton which will somewhat erase the past; and left delilah in the world of her own illusions;

if you thought that no powers approach will give you other ending or something like that, then you expect too much; you can already choose between corvo and emily which have different powers abilities and some dialogues; plus, you can just take the throne; it's just all about retaking the throne;

no powers is harder but more satisfying if you are going for high chaos

Well I figured that accepting the mark resulted in a price that needed to be paid, but well seeing that the overseers are not very common this time around, being a heretic or not wasn't going to be too relevant I guess.

I just started my second Playtrough as Corvo (NO Powers, Unseen High Chaos) and In the very first mission in Karnaca Docks, there is an apartment in-between the 2nd guard checkpoint (just before the carriage station) and the Abbey outpost, I can't seem to find the way to reach the balcony and get inside, would this be one of those places that are considered inaccessible if you refused the mark ?

You need to drop down from the rooftops to get to it, the two places of note which were innacessible with no power is the very top of the addermire institute (too high can't jump to get that bonecharm) and the civilian who barricades himself in the Dunwall tower (you can't climb onto the vent normally you need to do a really weird maneuver where you wedge yourself into a corner and run while jumping to climb up high enough)

as far as i remember the following are unreachable places without powers:
● most of the chandeliers and guard turrets
● addermire district rooftops (bonecharm)
● addermire station rooftop
● addermire institute abandoned rooms (before wall of light on right there are barricaded doors; you can get there from outside by reaching shutters)
● addermire institute rooftop (too high; 'fearless fall' achievement and a bonecharm)
● lower aventa apartments (with byrne's painting; and the opposite one with runes shrine)
● approach to jindosh mansion down below (at some point the distance is too great; unless the electricity is off so you can just run through rails)
● inside clockwork mansion just before the first lever (cannot reach the roof; 'silence' achievement)
● royal conservatory district apartments near the wall of light (bonecharm)
● in stilton mansion i think you cannot reach the attic without powers because of timing of the last chandelier
● some windmills powering walls of lights (especially that one in grand palace district)
● back again on the dunwall streets the approach to the witches up high is too steep
● in dunwall tower room with a civilian (apparently too high to jump)

Thank you, and Cyber Von Cyberus for the info. That was really informative. I suppose getting of Flesh & Steel achievement alone is more valuable then all this rooms and locations anyways, been to 99 % of them on the first playtrough anyway, as far as I've noticed they hold only some little amount of treasure, things like paintings and runes are all obtainable even without powers...
No powers mode is how the game is supposed to be played.

I just completed my run of Flesh and Steel and it was very challenging in the best sense, although not as hard as I thought. A very solid take in this second installment, but whether or not it's supposed to be play with magic, is completely subjective, keep in mind that there are some areas that are impossible to reach without blink/far reach missing like 2 or 3 bonecharms. Other than those 2 or 3 instances the level design is second to none.
no power is richer since each rune is now 200 coins and without needs of buying runes.(also make collect 60% of coin achievement easier) Its very pleasing to have enough gears and upgrade in various situations.
Levels are extremely well designed so you'll find you're able to accomplish everything even stealth and merciful, it'll just be harder without godlike powers.

Even in the first game it was like that too (although this is the only one u can deny the mark which is also p cool)
Well I was mainly asking about how it affects the game's story since I already did my first playthrough without powers.

from what I've seen, there were absolutely no changes in any of the story cutscenes whatsoever, if you denied the mark. There were a few different dialogues from npcs (or was there only one variation I heard ?), but that's about it.

in the last level, there is a dying overseer, right before you enter the exterior of dunwall tower. Saying that an heretics ( i guess he would say this if you choose power mode ) eliminating another heretics, ironic.

them should have delete power mode and make this game harder.... or make al smarter....
