Anyone found a reliable fix for launching the game?

Like many others, I have trouble launching the game, and from what I can gather, the fix with AMD cleaner utility isn't a guaranteed solution. Anybody have solid fix yet?

I wanted to play the game after 6 years and couldn't get it running. After seeing that it was an AMD driver issue, I put this thing together to block game communicating with it. How u do it? i copied everything on the dishonored folder but it aint working, they to replace dll file but theres no dll on the zip folder

Hi so im not quite sure what to place into the Dishonored 2 folder. after deleting amd_ags_x64.dll i've placed the zip, ive placed the unzipped version. i've done a whole bunch of things but to no avail. i've already done a clean reinstall, tried launching in admin mode, restarted steam, verified files

guys you need to proceed to "releases" tab to the right, there you will have 3 files, download dll file

for some reason whenever i finish the first part and try to go into the streets after you pass through the safe room my game crashes? any suggestions?

I'm unsure of how to use the Github fix. How do I do that, because I've replaced the file but it still won't start.

Try installing Physx
Try installing Vcr runtimes from Microsofts download page both 64bit and 32bit aka x86 x64 etc

Sorry, but I'm dumb and really need list of things "what do to and where you place this" to understand. I love this game, so i'll be very appreciate help.
EDIT: somehow found everything but nothing for me. I'd done so much. I think my pc is too "NEW" to launch this game. Maybe i need to download some kind ADM driver on pc, but i don't want to brake anything cuz don't know a thing in that.

Thanks, wasted a lot of time trying to find a solution that did NOT involve disabling my igpu in bios until I found this.

Wow, the https://github.com/SCell555/amd-ags-stub solution worked for me, been stuck for the past few days trying to get it to work from uninstalling AMD Software to disabling integrated radeon graphics in device manager.
Thanks a million for the solution.
Just replace the amd_ags_x64.dll file where the dishonored2.exe is located the game booted for me.
I own the game on epic thinking I wasted money buying a game that doesn't work.

Step 1: In your Steam library, right click on Dishonored 2, hover over Manage and click Browse Local Files. That will open up the folder where the game files are located.

Step 2: On the Github page, click on First Release over on the right-hand side of the page, then under Assets, download the amd_ags_x64.dll file.

Step 2.5: Your browser might try to block it from downloading because it thinks it's suspicious. If it does, tell your browser to download it anyway.

Step 3: Once the file is downloaded, simply drag it into your Dishonored 2 folder. Windows will ask if you want to overwrite the file, go ahead and do so.

You just wait a while the first time? Logic just says you see a bar filling up slowly, and it will fill up. After that, it launches fast every time. Took a long time, sure, but a chicken could see the bar slowly moving. What's going on in schools these days?
