It's considerably longer, the levels are insanely good, very well thought out. There are two very tough puzzle missions, one of which is what I consider to be the best level ever made of any game I've played.
The voice acting is so much better, you've got a voiced Corvo in addition to Emily, far more dialog, and a direct way to decide whether you want to kill or spare any given person via listening to their secrets with the Heart. The exploration is amazing, and the scenery and setting are positively gorgeous. The music too is worlds better, though they're both still sharing themes.
On the other hand - a lot of people liked the ultra-grungy D1 visuals, but ... this game's not designed by that artist (thank the Outsider) and in my opinion the artistic style is straight up better. I'd love to see the studio re-do the art in the original, the character designs are... so... sooooo ugly. They look like real people in this one.
Still incredibly fun stealth OR full throttle run and gun, and with two protagonists, two levels of chaos to consider, and powers or no powers, there's a *minimum* of six full on ways to go through it.
So, yes.
The level design is out of this world. I can't even imagine the process through which they got to the ideas for the levels, let alone how they actually turned that vision into actual playable levels of this quality.
I'm surprised that when talking about the game, people aren't raving about the Jindosh and Stilton manors and they are still hung up on the performance issues. Those levels are simply revolutionary.
Not to mention the better graphics and pure authentic feel every area has. It's great.
Also: bone charm crafting. <3 that so much.
I like D1 more, because of the setting, characters, level design and overall atmosphere. Moments between characters are shorter and on point, while D2 in comparison for me makes these moments too long. I would sometimes even call them dull, but again, that's a personal perception.
D2 has more game mechanics and obviously better graphics.
I haven't finished Death of The Outsider yet, but my current rating based of the overall experience i get would be D1 DLCs>D1>DoTO>D2
Graphics runs fine for me on epic. Or very high. Looks good story is tight and runs nice
It is not even half as good or interesting as Stilton Manor.
I'm still getting the feeling for it. Dishonored is one of those rare cases where the game gets better the MORE playthroughs you have.
I always hate first runs and this one isn't different, but I know Ill like it the further I go. Just wonder how much.
More fun missions (Opinion)
Better Story (Opinion)
Better Outsider (Opinion)
Fantastic DLC (Not Opinion)
Able to walk while leaning
Leaning is actually usefull
No Clockwork Soldiers that make Ghost runs nearly impossible
Easier

Dishonored 2:
Better Level Design (Opinion)
Choice of Character
More Powers
More interesting Characters (Opinion)
Actually possible Flesh and Steel runs
Many Performance issues
Voiced Protagonists is a good and bad thing depending on the person. I dislike it personally.

Bug ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ are annoying.
Some parts feel unfair
More choices
"Let's lock the master assassin Corvo in a wide open room with windows, and set no one to watch him"
Overall, I'd put them at about even in terms of quality, but I still enjoy Dishonored 1 more, maybe just for nostalgia, or maybe because it makes me feel badass.
