AMD RX 5700 XT, 100% GPU load on low settings
Hi everyone,
I need some tech advice. My personal knowledge when it comes to tweaking graphics settings is near non existing, but I do see a huge issue with this game and my current Graphics-Card and need help.

As the title says: Low Settings, Adaptive Resolution active and targeted at 60 FPS caps out my GPU while making me sweat while sitting next to the PC within minutes. (I am not overexeggerating here.. this thing heats up FAST).
When I deactivate the adaptive resolution completly and go for high settings the GPU load settles at around 70% which still seems ratehr high for such an old game, so I feel like I need help here. If you need more technical details tell me what (and if it is not visible in the game menue or Hardware Manager please tell me where to find it)

Thanks in advance

Telling what resolution you are using would be helpful. I never cared about my gpu load only what my FPS is.

that would be 1920:1080 in borderless fullscreen. (FoV at 80 if that matters.)

I have the same GPU. I use MSI afterburner or ASUS GPU tweak to make something out of it. The gpu usually runs on 40-50 percent because of it right now and I can share my settings with you if ya like. Oh and its temperature is around 50 C

100% GPU load is not a bad thing so long as the temperature is within a safe range. 100% GPU load just means you are getting the most out of your GPU.

If you think it's getting too hot you should check the actual temperature using MSI afterburner.

Strange thing, having the same 5700 xt - getting abount 90 FPS on 1440p / Ultra / Recording in background.
Have you turned something on in the drivers? O_o

I used the standard installation of the drivers from AMD and as I said no in depth knowledge regarding graphics cards, so I would not go poke around the settings outside of games options.^^ I was able to prevent the desert winds from spewing out of my machine by deactivating the automatic scaling in the DH2 options.
