The Radeon HD 7970 is a much faster card than the GTX 660. And the i5-2400 is faster than the FX-8320.
So what is the actual minimum? A FX-8320 with a GTX 660, or a i5-2400 with a Radeon 7970? The performance difference is massive.

The engine is based on idTech-5, so probably OpenGL.

You download less but it will be around 60gig when it is finished

A portion of that is probably different texture options and likely higher quality textures than what is available for consoles.

Edit: Those ad sites that were guessing the system requirements were totally off the mark. Hopefully people learn to stop linking them.

Iam sure it willl run maxed 1440p with no issues on my 2550k gtx 970 12 gb ram on 1440p maxed. While recomend are a big higher than my pc many games with similar requirements has run perfectly on it.
