It's still less useful for a ghost run than timestop. I don't get in many scenario with 10+ guards either.
Powers in general let you walk through the game very easily, so long as you know where you need to go.
I don't bother with mesmerize a lot of the time myself. A stun mines with additional use then a pistol shots to attract attention (or just using the blade) does wonder to bring guards where they go down.
Wow, you have some weird imagination and paranoia going. To deduce all that from someone saying a supernatural power in a fantasy game is unexpectedly very strong.

also,to the guy who suddenly came in here and started screaming "StOp WhInInG aBoUt ThE gAmE's PoWeRs If YoU dIdNt ChOoSe BlOoD aNd IrOn???11!?/",uh...just dont please. the powers are meant to be overpowered to a degree. you're able to instantly teleport,bring people and things to you,possess anything living,use wind as a weapon,have bootleg magical nightvision,stop time,summon an abomonation to entrance things,summon two clones,turn into a smoke monster thing,summon rats,and link multiple people up into the same fate,not to mention have slowed time when spotted,the ability to reflect bullets at enemies,the ability to turn corpses into bloodflies,the ability to be just stronger and faster than a normal human ingame,as well whatever your bonecharms you make/collect give you in terms of boosts. you're not meant to play a powers run as a normal. if you want to play as a badass normal,do no powers,noone's going to be mad about which mode you choose. but dont piss and moan about it in an unrelated tread,if you're going to complain about players who do powers run,do it in the right thread. this is a thread about how mesmerize can be op.
