Bonecharm crafting..
How is it? Can you make far more powerful charms them the default ones you find?

uh. not really more powerful. just more space efficient. when you sacrifice a bone charm you learn its trait. (does not work for black bone charms or corrupt bone charms) when you have the traits you want, along with enough raw whale bone, which you get from deconstructing bonecharms and as a pick up around the world, you can chose from a 2 trait, 3 trait, or 4 trait bonecharm with the traits you know. the more traits you apply to a bonecharm, the higher the chance of it being corrupted during the crafting process. this adds a significant debuff.

Simple example: I have two bonecharms with powers I need, but they take up more space. so I sacrifice those, learn their traits, and put both traits into a single bone charm that takes up one slot. voila. free slot.

Err, best way to use them, imo, is to find the trait that you really like, and make a 4 pronged bonecharm with the same trait four times. Doing this, I can basically shoot as many sleep darts as I want, as I get it back around 80% of the time.

Also, be vary that some bonecharms won't give you any traits at all. Don't make the same mistake I did and destroyed all my black bonecharms...

Yup. I've only been using the crafting that way. I really don't see why you would use it in any other way, unless there's tricks to it (like, a set of specific traits creates a more powerful bonecharm or something)? Kind of a dissapointing system.

Omg...I'd probably stack as many of the ones that give mana on aerial takedowns as I can.

Yeah, you buy the ability for 3 runes after you learn to craft them. You can only stack the same trait 4 times though.

Imagine this: Stack Void Favor from the preorder and make it so that the chance of getting that no powers buff is insane. Or the sleep dart one.

Void favor doesn't work that well unfortunately. I played with it for a fair bit and it worked about once every five or six times I used a power.

There's a problem with the strong arms trait, so don't waste your time on that for now. It increases the time needed to choke a person... I had it equipped on my first playthrough and thought it was just in my mind that the choking takes so long.

A slow-choke.

So far I have 4 stacked Swift Stalker, Swift Shadow, and Undertaker. All of those stack with each other. 4x Undertaker actually increases your speed while holding a body instead of decreases it. So if I am crouching with my weapons sheathed while holding a body I can basically move at double or triple sprint speed.

4x Lucky Needle nets you a needle almost every other time, but sometimes it's less. Pretty large chance though.

Is the rune crafting worth it? How many whalebones you end up finding?

Unless you're aiming to unlock all abilities and upgrades, rune crafting is worthless.

Ooh, I want undertaker now, that combo sounds rad.

Just curious how many it takes...if it's some ridiculous amount it's unlikely to make the difference in runes needed. (assuming of course there isn't a chapter with like 20 runes in it)
