Does Anyone Know How to Non Lethally Elimate The Duke?

i am trying to ghost, clean hands, no powers mode and on very hard it and i cant seem to figure out how to do the grand palace mission non lethally i cant find any playthroughs with the key words "Dishonored 2 grand palace low choas" and i am really struggling to find a way

does anyone know? that would REALLY help, thanks

You have to figure out which one is the Duke, and which one the body double. Once you've discovered whom the body double is (Tip, he's the smoker. Watch them until you see one smoke, then go and talk to him.). He'll then tell you what you need to do to non-lethally pass the Duke.

i accidentally found the actual duke first and now i dont have a marker to the other duke, i checked the other location (in the other bedroom) and there is no other duke. are there more locations?

When I found the double he was in the Duke's office, where the code to the guard safe was.

The only locations I've had are his bedroom, Delilah's bedroom and near the pool.

you have to restart it, if you find the normal duke first then he like despawns or something and i cant find him

It is possible to do it after finding and subdueing the real duke, the body double can appear in a few different places, for me he was painting in the dukes private garden (in the furthest part of the level) talked to him took the real duke to his bed and it worked.
Places he can be according to random site i was looking at: private garden, the throne room, 3rd-floor office, private quarters, or Delilah’s chamber, maybe more but not found yet.

You don't have to restart. I first have found the real duke and knocked him out. After an hour of search I found his double in the garden. Just like Von Batman said. You just didn't look good enough.

I used the heart to work out who was the double and who was real. The double was sitting in a throne room protected by an arc pylon and a few guards.

There are clues all over the environment about the location of each person. A couple guards had a conversation telling me the duke was painting. I overheard the chef saying she was bringing the duke lunch in the same location. I also found a note on a desk detailing the need for extra guards in the same location to watch the real duke.

The fake duke talks about how the real duke doesn't care about the people, which is another obvious clue.

The heart will also tell you who is the real or fake duke if you listen carefully to its monologues.

Finally you can save and call out one of the dukes as being the decoy. The real one will eventually attack you, the fake one will outline a plan for you to follow to safely eliminate the real duke. Reload if you got the one you didn't want.

i have replayed the game with no hud, no powers, ghost, very hard twice, i think i know by now. why bother to dig this up?

It is possible to bug out the duke. While moving a little too quickly, skipping cutscenes, and being very loud (but nonlethal!) I met 1st real duke, talked, knocked him out, met 2nd fake duke, talked, made the deal. Brought real duke to bed, cutscene played...... but this whole time both dukes had red above their heads, because even though "I" knew which one was real, my "character" did not.

I think you have to either see the fake smoke FIRST before talking, or you need to talk to the fake BEFORE talking to the real one.

Dude, this was 2 years ago. I figured out how todo it and almost got every achievement in the game
