yeah it's pretty stupid, took me an hour to figure this one out, hope you guys get through i dont have to replay the whole game!!!!
Jesus, every locked door in the game can be opened from the other side... and they put in a button for a wooden door?? Thanks for the help!
Furthermore, have you answered to the OP?
Dude, there is a button on the other side.
So even if you get inside WITHOUT using the code, you definitely are able to get out again by pressing the button.
If you delete your comment, as you might think it's pathetic, I will delete mine too.
The answer is easy: Aramis Stilton had the button installed because his combination-locked door is designed to automatically lock again when closed, or in case someone locked him in there. Why have a combination to unlock it from the inside as well when you could press a button? It's his study, so maybe he has delicate info locked up in there? Who knows lol.
A lotta things in this game don't make the most sense, like the Duke's vault having two doors when most vaults have one, although one entrance is hidden well. What's the point of two doors?
