The Outsider sounds... terrible.

They replaced the original voice actor with some guy from Gotham.

It's the audio mixing. The voice actor is the same they just tried to make him less like some dude chilling in between time and space and more of an actual diety. Not saying they succeded as much, but they tried.

EDIT: The voice actor is also not the same. I stand corrected.

Yeah Robin Lord Taylor takes a bit of getting use to.

He is great has pengiun mind you, but outsider not so much maybe it will grow on me

Might be a bit of everything. The audio is pretty bad in general. If you walk through a street with multiple npcs talking the engine changes their volume in an almost random manner. It's even worse when you're talking to a npc and another starts talking behind you. The person you're talking to gets almost completely muted.
I was also irritated when I heard the outsiders voice. He was almost wispering like a shy little emo kid. The voice acting certainly did not impress.
And the bad sound normalization ... well, there's obviously not much in this game that isn't broken.

When I read this, I'm glad they brought back the german voice actors from the first game for the Outsider and the heart. I feared they would replace them.

This is the only thing so far that I'd consider 'broken'. The game plays wonderfully, and I have not encountered any of the problems anyone is. Maybe they should play on an 1080p monitor instead of the high ones? Sounds like most people with a problem are trying to run it on a higher resolution than they can actually run it on.

He wasn't perfect in the last game, but he was better than he is now.

New VA wouldn't be so bad if he kept the mannerism and way of speaking the previous guy had, but he just sounds like he isn't trying at all. It completely changed the character from an amused third party to ... whatever we should call this tryhard. Don't know what happened for them to change it (I know it wasn't his reddit username since he made the account AFTER he got the boot) but I miss the old voice

Ya the outsider's voice from the last game was ICONIC to this series. The new guy isn't as bad as I thought he'd be but it just makes me mad that they didn't keep the first guy. Why they changed that only they know.

I miss Billy Lush's voice so much. This is a huge let down for the game.
