where can you even obtain the code for it though?

There's a note in that building, it mentions remembering 3 of the 7 sevent strictures of the Abby. There's a book by the safe that lists them in numbered order.

Read the comments, man. This was solved hours ago. Find the note listing the 3 strictures to remember, then look at the book near the safe and find the right numbers.
