Mission 9 Kill Bug.

[Creeping Jesus]

I'm doing a non lethal/clean hands run, when I use the whale oil tank to restore power in "Death to the Empress", there's a kill registered in my stats. I've gone through the whole area and moved all the unconcious witches to one area, and it still registers a kill when I plug in the tank! I took care of the Clockworks and the same thing occurs. Has anyone else experienced this bug? Does anyone know how to handle/fix it?

I have the same bug and posted about it here, but received no response.

I receive two kills immediately after placing the tank in the security room.
I was going to check a speed run up to that point, but haven't brought myself to do it. I put the game down two days ago and haven't picked it up again yet.

Just dont restore power? You dont have to restore it, i was doing clean hands with emily and i just ignored it and went straight for delilah

Yeah, I thought about it, but I wanted to do the minor check points. It's just the way I play. I know people will probably not understand or tell me to stop whining when there is one work around, but I'd prefer to play my way.

Also @Sinderblock I decided to log in today and when I placed the tank this time I did not receive any kills and was able to continue. No idea why as it was the same save I had on previous attempts.

I wasn't trying to imply you were the one saying I was whining. It was just a generalized statement.

I'm just happy I finally finished the game. It was a real drag putting all that time into it to be stonewalled so close to the ending.

I was half expecting after I finished it would still display the two kills, but luckily I was kill free and able to earn the 'Clean Hands' achievement.

How exactly did you do this? I've looked around the entire map and I've found the elevator to be the only way? @Threnody, tried it today, didnt work.

Just go trough Jessamins secret passage, its located near a fireplace on the seckond floor in the big square room. You open it by turning a cande holder next to the fireplace. It leads straight to the safe room wich you visited at the beginning of the game. And voila you dont need the elevator. ;)

@Sinderblock - Yeah, if you go into the chapel where you have the option to create the corrupted rune and jump through the hole in the roof you'll be in a tiny corner library room. Make a left out of that room and down that hall is the fireplace.

Much better explainded than me, im so ♥♥♥♥ on explaining things in games. Did you know the little safe room is there in DH1 as well? i have around 150 hours total in DH1 and i know pretty much all of the game but i didnt know about that :) 41 hours on pc and the rest on PS3

Haha, no worries! I was just wanting to give a little more of a push in the direction. I think there's a few fireplaces on that level so it can be a pain to find the right one.

I thought the map overall was familiar and figured it was because of the first game, but it's been so long since I played the original - I honestly thought I was crazy. I should have played it again before this one, but I never got around to it.

Haha yeah, and it makes the non detection achievment so much easier to get but it makes the mission alot shorter tough :)

No matter how I going to the Throne, via elevator (with oil tank ofc) or through the hidden room, I counted two murders. It's really weird, what to do guys?

Have you checked all the bodies you've previously knocked out? Maybe rats have gotten to a couple?
