Disabling NVIDIA Ansel helps
Download and install NVIDIA Profile Inspector.
This is a small tool allowing more control over the options usually found in the NVIDIA Control Panel and also reveal hidden settings.

https://ci.appveyor.com/project/Orbmu2k/nvidiaprofileinspector/build/artifacts

Open the application and scroll down untill you find the Ansel option.
Then turn off Ansel and save settings.

There is still frame drops but it's way better than before. *EDIT* Not it's not, it does not work***
I'm also using the beta patch.

I hope this helps!

Do i have to select a gameprofil or did your link provide everything i need here?

Nothing against you, but i prefer to know the sources i download from and your link i don't know, so i'm causious.

And while we're at it, does it recognize if i changed other things in the control panel before?
For example the pre renderd frames setting to 1.

I have to see.
Think i did burn myself out a bit on the gameplay, cause i finished another dh 1 all kill run yesterday.

Thanks for the answer and suggestions here, guys!

placebo is truly wonderful.

Ok, that was a nice idea, but the framepacing needs to be patched, no way to fix this ourselves as far as i'm concerned.

This topic can be deleted. After further testing it simply does not work.
Arriving in Karnaca on the docks in the first mission got me...10-11 fps. And that's with a gtx 1080. Even putting the settings to low got me a mere 14 fps!

That doesn't make sense at all. What resolution are you at? I play at 3440x1440 with a single GTX 1080 and I get pretty good framerates all over.

Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! (375.95 drivers)

MSI afterburner shows that the CPU is used at around 45% and the GPU.......between 53% and 15% in somes instances.

That GPU usage is a huge problem. Have you tried reverting back to 375.70? I'm on the hotfix drivers still, 375.76 or something like that and performance is pretty good with the Beta patch.

I will try this right away and update on the situation.

Also try alt-tabbing out of the game, and then back in and see if that helps. Sometimes when I start the game up I get like 18 fps in the intro's, and if I alt-tab out to desktop and then back in performance returns to normal.

That's the one I'm on, in case you wanted it. It's not on Geforce.com/drivers I don't think.

Reverting back to the old drivers has proven to be beneficial.
The performance has much improved.
However I still have some dips in frames (40fps) it's much better than before.

I thank you a lot!
