What counts as detected?

If for instance I walk in front of a guard, he spots me, but I choke him out instantly and he doesnt alert anybody else. Does that count as being detected and would it show up on the end mission screen?

I think it counts as detected the instant the guard fully alerts to your presence, regardless of if you knock him out immediately. You can check to see if you were spotted at any time during gameplay by hitting escape, and selecting stats.

Just wanted to give special thanks to ChevyNoel, didn't know that about the Stats section. I'm tryna beat the game on the hardest difficulty with no detects, no takedowns, and no powers, and up until now, I just had to play through the level, and if I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up, I'd have to start the whole thing over. You've made my life a million times easier, so thank you.
