Kirin Jindosh non lethal glitch (spoilers)

Kirin Jindosh at the mansion

Trying for nonlethal. You get him in the electroshock chair and then set the bays to Anatomy and Optics (either order, I've done both) to get enough power to the chair. Flip the switch, it works, he responds... everything seems right except the "quest" never closed out and it still says power up the electroshock machine like nothing ever happened.

What do I do?

I've restarted with clean saves... messed with menu options... verified files, you name it.

Anyone else seen this?

I'm troubled that I can't find this glitch anywhere. I'm not sure what to make of it.

Confirmed, put him in the chair, flipped switch. Animation plays out fine, after he mumbles like a stupid idiot, but it doesn't trigger the non-lethal elemination. Stuck basically.
And here I was having a good time really.. :(

Same here. I even got the achievement but the quest does not get resolved. I can finish the mission though, and it says that I did neither killed Jindosh nor did I resolve it peacefully

Found a solution/workaround that did it for me: I followed the advice elsewhere in the forums and reloaded a save from before messing with the platforms, Jindosh and his Clockwork Soldiers. I placed the unconscious Jindosh in his seat, then I triggerd the correct platforms and afterwards I pulled the lever.

Did you make sure to disable the soldiers before putting him in the chair? I realize it's nearly impossible NOT to do that, because otherwise he's really difficult to reach, but it's something?

Also, 7 month old thread lol, but it's obviously an infrequent bug solvable by spamming the f5 key and loading again.

Did you do the rest of the suggested things in the thread? Are you also trying for nonlethal or will it make that much of a difference if you just kill him? Can you get him OUT of the chair, or is he already locked in? (tried killing him? cleared the room of enemies? did you get sokolov out of the building yet?)

I found the solution, first take Anton Sokolov to the passenger car, then connect the Kirin Jindosh to the electric machine, the problem is solved.
