Is it safe to buy a key from cdkeys?
The current steam price too expensive considering the game is poorly optimized. Has anyone bought a key from cdkeys.com? I just spent most of my money upgraded my pc so I am looking to buy this game discounted.

yes, they're legit as far as i know. i have bought some keys from them a couple of times. they have a weird verification though for first time buyers, you have to add a picture of your id with some written info like date and their name.

That ID thing sounds crazy phishy to me. I won't say it IS phishy, but it SEEMS really phishy (read: there's no way that's NOT malicious.). Not to mention it's not an appproved reseller for most companies I've seen... Or any for that matter.

I'd stay away from it.

What's your definition of legit? I ask because that site is not a legit reseller.

They don't source keys from publishers if that's what you're asking, they'll give you keys but really you have no idea of where they're coming from.

Meaning they're very possibly stolen using the ID info they asked for. I'm going to leave the thread now though: I don't want to break rules or anything by talking about those sites.

Exactly, I wouldn't suggest getting them at all. Never going to get a Steam code from them.

I never had to do that... I've used them many times and never had any issues. That sounds super sketchy though.

It's a gray area. I've bought from key resellers before, and the keys have always worked, but if those keys turn out to have been acquired in questionable ways, publishers are able to block them and render your game license invalid, preventing you from playing. I recall this happening with some game/s of Ubisoft's somewhat recently.

Personally I would wait for the game to be fixed or discounted in the future. You could potentially lose more money this way if it gets blocked. But it all depends on how the site or the sellers within the site came across the keys, and you kinda never know.

I no longer have any resold keys attatched to my account anymore, not worth the potential nasty surprise one day.

I am always buying games there. Didn't have a single problem.
Most of the time they sends a scan of box keys.
They are legit.

They are legit, but they won't give you a refund. I tried to get a refund for this POS game and they wouldn't give me one.
