NMS shouldn't even come into the equation given the issues with that game were the blatant lies and promises the developers made prior to release. The game actually ran and did, loosely, what it said on the tin. It was a ♥♥♥♥ game that never should have been priced at €60 or even €30.
Arkham Knight had a lot of issues BUT those were mainly tied to VRAM issues so people's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 6GB of VRAM on a 980Ti couldn't max the game out or run it in 1440p and their 3.5GB VRAM 970 was completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥(Still is for quite a few people). The game itself you could actually run for the most part and, like Dishonored 2, a few people could run it without problems. However, there was serious issues with driving in Arkham Knight regardless which was fixed. It was a ♥♥♥♥ port but it was definitely comparable to this ♥♥♥♥ port(Which also crashes on consoles and has frame drops).
AC Unity was buggy but still playable(PS4 simply couldn't handle it and averaged at 24FPS). It also had a lot going on and, an almost three year old game, looked ten times better than Dishonored 2 does.
Dishonored 2 has some of the most unheard of issues ranging from weird mouse glitches which make people physically sick to odd refresh rate problems to the point people are getting headaches from playing for thirty minutes or more. Then there's the blatant performance issues: Hanging for hours on the loading screen, frequent dips to single digit FPS, terrible performance ON ALL RANGES OF HARDWARE(1080's can't run the damn thing for crying out loud!), stuttering, micro stutter, textures failing to load, the game crashes.
What could have gone wrong went wrong with this game. Things that no one could have possibly thought that could have gone wrong went wrong.
So how about you get back in your box and suck on a grape. We're all thrilled the game works fine for you but, reality check, A ♥♥♥♥ LOAD OF US CAN'T RUN THE GAME OR PLAY IT BECAUSE IT RUNS LIKE ♥♥♥♥!
Dish 2 problems are not unheard - SEE RAGE AND WOLFENSTEIN - both use ID TECH 5 - both had/have horrible FPS issues and thats a fact !
The devs have to prroof now, that it is not their game engine. Making a working patch in a short time.
And not giving up after months, like they had to in Batman Arkham Knights.
Only time can tell if what you are saying is the truth, or I am telling the truth. But don't asume things, you are not able to proof.
All I can say is, don't buy it, untill they are able to fix it. Let them proof first, that this game is not as bad as "Batman Arkham Knights" was.
This is apparently based on idTech6 though. It's rewritten to 70% so it''s not really idTech anymore, but the Void Engine. Considering how amazing idTech 6 is and what techniques it supports this was a slap in the face even though I really like their lighting engine used here.
