How short is this game really?

Not asking for speed run speeds but whats the average speed if you play Rambo style?

the game is very linear and the levels are very small - if you only go for the objective and use the powers you can finish very quickly !

If you run from objective marker to objective marker with no regard for what's in between you will probably finish the game in ~10 hours.

It's a small game, but very dense. It's definitely aimed at people who enjoy exploring and a generally slower pace that lets you take in the details.

Playing a loud, fast, angry run is a lot of fun! But it is only a fraction of what the game has to offer, and if it's the only part you think you will enjoy, it might make sense to wait for a lower price.

no, that would be for one character, if you play with powers and full on rambo mode.

I just beat the game on Very Hard as Corvo killing everyone in my way and my save time is about 5 and a half hours. Meaning after dying and loading saves, maybe 6-7 hours on Very Hard. That was also not caring about collecting things and just going from point to point for the most part.

I was assuming one character. You probably could finish the game that fast, but that would assume few deaths/mistakes, and playing with the goal of finishing as fast as possible, rather than just a relatively fast playstyle.

The second run will go a lot faster than the first though, so don't assume 2 characters = double playtime.

5 hours seems like a speedrun to me. Im at 12 hours, and only just finished the clockwork mansion. I am taking my time, reading all the flavor text, collecting all charms and runs, completeing all secondary objectives, basically savoring the game.

it can be between 15 hour and 40 hours, depending on how much you rush vs explore and what playstyle. It also encourages multpile playthroughs.

yeah, 5 hours if probably when you simply do combat and follow the objective marker.

I'm at over 40 hours now on my first playthrough, but i'm doing ghost, no powers, non lethal, no hud, and savoring the game to the max :)

The game can be beaten very quickly regardless of difficulty. If you go the full combat route, it will take longer obviously.

On the other hand, if you take your time and explore as much as possible, you can easily get 20-30 hrs out of the game. I have just started mission 6 and the in-game counter currently sits at 20 hrs of playtime.
