Their abilities aren't the same.
However, Dishonored 2 has a new game plus option where you have access to all of their powers.
Edit: Emily's abilities are probably more devious out of the two.
Why spoil it. There's a sale on right now for dishonored franchise. Huge sale. Buy it and enjoy.
No need to rush. The blessings of a good game is that you can always come back to it later. I've played Dishonored games more than once and have no regrets.
Never got into Pokemon, game-wise. I got my share of pokemon when I used to mentor the neighborhood kids when I still served in the military. Camping trips and science projects usually kept it to a minimum, but there were a couple kids that were hopelessly addicted to it.
It's a pretty good memory exercise, but didn't see much else in it.
Each person probably has their own preference, but I find Corvo to be easier.
Emily's abilities are similar, but her abilities (imo) are definitely more devious. With some set up, you can murder multiple people simultaneously, without initiating combat.
I can move around well enough with either, but I find Corvo to be easier for non lethal stealth.
You can jump assassinate them. Just get above them. Don't just drop down on them, but actually jump up first and then down. As long as you are somewhat centered on them, an assassinate prompt will come up and you can one shot kill them.
Edit: If going for no kill run, then, yeah, just avoid them.
Which is pretty stupid and my biggest complaint with both games... they give you so many cool weapons and tools to murder people with and then punish you for using them (yeah, yeah, they say "play how you want", but you need to do low chaos to get good ending)...
